I was really into sports in high school to the point I was trying to listen to NBA games on the radio.
Stations I remember were KOA in Denver with Al Albert doing Nuggets game. WWWE in Cleveland was another station I could pull in "3W E" with Joe Tait. WOAI in San Antonio is another station I could pull in. San Antonio became an important station to listen to when I heard George Gervin win the scoring title over David Thompson.
